If memory serves me correctly there is a difference between a path and a gate.
Gate is something travels through. Where a path is what something travels on.
So have all the path or knowledge you want but without entering in through the gate, one will not enter.
John 14:6 Jesus unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.
John 10:9 I am the door
If a "narrow path" aka knowledge can lead to life, Knowledge can also lead to destruction.

Narrow is the gate... This always gets me.
Few find the way that leads to life? If you finish the thought, it states MANY find the path that leads to destruction.
The strait way is speaking life giving words. But one can put a guard at their gate/mouth but God still judges the heart & out of the abundance of that heart, the mouth speaks. Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise. But his mouth is still near destruction Prov 10:14 & he will eat the fruit thereof.

Notice the small case god.
The Creator wanted *union* with His creation. In the Christian religion, Jesus is the union between the Creator and humanity. Christianity is NOT like other religions. A finite being can NOT access the eternal (except through the door of death) so Jesus fully God & fully man in His death is the door John 10:1.
One must be mindful with what god they are attempting to make union with.
