Just like any other country there are poor people, The poverty and slums in Manila and other big cities in the Philippines are cause by influx migrations of rural population moving to big cities to find jobs but ending up unemployed and forced to live in slums. But in the recent years eco-tourism has help rural areas generate jobs. Eco-tourism in the Phils is booming and for most part also helping Filipinos realize the importance in preserving our rich culture and our environment.

I encourage everyone to learn how beautiful our country truly is, its rich and dramatic history, culture and people. Philippines boast some of the best unexplored tropical destinations with over 7,000 islands to explore. One of the richest coral reefs in the planet, Philippines is a hot spot for bio-diversity. Only the daring and adventurous would travel this archipelago country due to the media, but things are changing for the good. We all need to stop hating, and start loving. peace
