Dance number from Wonder Bar (1934). Fine examples of Busby Berkeleys "military" choreography - and he used his trademark, the over-head shot, a lot. Vocalist Dick Powell. Why can't this go on forever?

  • Wonderful, and expensive, the cost of those giant front silvered mirrors had to be keep off the films books till it was in the can, typical of Berkeley.. He often went ahead before Warners and others caught up with him, thank goodness he did!

  • Lovely. Nobody would pay to see this, anymore - at least, that is what they tell us.

  • Thanks for posting this

  • One of his best and longest "top shots".

  • Absolutely awesome! What that man could do with mirrors is genius! Thanks for posting this rarity.

  • Typical insane Busby Berkeley! Wonderfully insane.

As is usual, the song ends with an audience watching and applauding - as if ANY of this could have been done live, on a stage.

Not something for people for motion sickness to watch, though.
