Owl City—Fireflies (A cappella transcription)

Some points:

1. The arrangement is now available as sheet music on my website at http://jimlapbap.com/arrange . You must read the stipulation of using the sheet music and e-mail me for the password to unlock the RAR file.
2. Yes, I use pitch-correction (Melodyne). (I'm a composer/arranger, not a singer)
3. I first heard this song November 9th, 2009.
4. I transcribed it by ear into Finale, and then recorded the voices into Logic Express. I made the video with Final Cut Express.
5. This was inspired by vanceperry's videos
6. Every sound is generated by my voice. I added reverb and tweaked the EQ to enhance the sound.
7. For the absolute Owl City purists, I did miss a few things. (A few incorrect chords and inversions in the chorus). These are corrected in the sheet music.

Step 1: Take music theory and ear training.

Step 2: Prepare for a couple hours of tedium

Step 3: Pick out melody.

Step 4: pick out bass line.

Step 5: Pick out middle stuff.

Step 6: Use music theory knowledge to piece together the parts.
