Rosanne Cash's music has such raw honesty and emotion to it.
I remember the album version of this where she duets with Johnny. I assume this video was made after he died and that adds a poignant new layer to the song. Rosanne is her father's daughter, that's for sure, and her music has the same world wearingness and melancholy to it. Beautiful.

I think the song also refers to being in the September, or the autumn, of life, as well. This song never got much reconition, as the great lyrical masterpieces seldom do in the artists' lifetime.

i truly love this song on of the bedst i know whet Rosanne and when you truly listing to this song you can hear that see have som of the same ind hear voice as hear farther the truly leagrandry Mand ind Black
and when i hear this sond i alwyes have tears ind me eyes the song is soo strong that i have the feling that the gods them self are listing to it
