My hair is wet in this video (it's easier to see my many hair textures, plus it get tangled if left to dry "as is.") and there is not product in my hair.

I do not subscribe to the 1-5, A-F hair typing. No shade if you do. I have to many hair textures to try to slap my hair in a nice little box.

The video explains all of my different hair textures as well as its characteristics.

  • I am long-term transitioning for the first time and I notice as my hair grows, one side is more define than the other..I am a 4a and after going natural for the first time 3 years ago w/ the big chop, my whole head was the same..equally defined. Could it be caused by my relaxed ends weighing down my new growth?? what could be causing the lack of definition on one side of my head.. I also notice my hair is growing much slower than before, could it be caused by nutrition?? plz reply..thanx!!

  • @sugarcane91 You may not have definition on the one side. Acceptance is key. Also I'm not sure why your hair is growing slower...but if it's growing, that's a good thing. Also a watched pot never boils. Good luck. Take of your self and your hair will respond accordingly.

  • I don't know what mine is. HELP! I do know I have breakage. I use natural products. Not sure if that means better. What do you do for hair breakage??!!

  • @wms278 As long as you are healthy, eating well, and drinking enough water, your breakage is probably the result of technique. Just my opinion.

  • I have a question about the picturess at the end when your hair was shorter. what were you using in it!! omg it looked so moisturized! I have been trying everything. the one thing that works is Hawaiian silky miracle worker...but I have to use a ton of it. I go through a bottle in about five days if I do not use portion control.

  • @inductivepleasure Check video number 4.

  • lol - "fight the power section of hair." that's ma texture.

  • @tishatrene No, I've been at this for 7 years and I've tried all types of products. For me technique is far more important than the products.

  • This video, is so informative. I'm going through that now I keep forcing my hair to do wash and go's. But my hair keep coming out frizzy, still now my tips are very frizzy. Got any advice on how I can smooth out my ends. I would truly appreciate it. Thanks

  • Great viddddd

  • I love your videos Sug, you're just so goofy yet bizness is bizness :-)...I kinda think you're my hair twin...when my hair is wet it looks similar to yours...my sides & crown are the shortest & I'm using castor oil to rectify that. It used to be coarser but its much softer now. I'll try and send some pics to you so you can see...keep doing what you doing...thanks for being you!!!

  • @whoissugar When I was completely natural, my ENTIRE head was defined little coils (4a) From being natural previously, I know how my hair should be, so I was a little worried when my curls weren't defined like they should..I LOVE and accept my natural 4a curls, that's why I'm going natural again (relaxing it was the WORST mistake I ever made!) But, yeah..I should probably be a bit more patient and see what happens. I know I should eat better foods..thanx 4 the advice! ;-)

  • lmbo @ the fight the power section! l have a very coarse crown as well...l usually refer to it as 'crenshaw & slauson'. And like you, l have a multi textured mane. Frustrates me to no end.

  • That's the beauty of black hair!

  • my hair is the same ....i neva ever ever thought i have 3 c curls in my nape discoverd it when i was completely natural and while my nappehair is wet. i love my 4a/b curls tho.....
