I found one today! It was so cool to see one!! As far as I know, I haven't seen one before

About 5 month ago. I was on the porch getting ready to leave. When I saw a black thing on the pillars of the porch. I thought it was a bat so I went to the store. When I came back it was still there. So I went and grabbed my fishing net. I got it off the wall only to find it was a giant hawk moth. I have NEVER seen a moth THIS huge. And I live in Oregon. I've seen small ones gather on the porch for warmth. but NOTHING like this one. Of course. I let it free after showing it to the neighbors. C:

Woke up this morning and found one of these is my kitchen. I have NEVER seen a moth like it. I live on the west coast of scotland. I want to put it outside but im too scared lol. Creepy yet i cant stop looking at it.
