Bandwagon

John Schultz directed this wonderful film about the ups and downs of life on the road. Too bad it almost disapears into video oblivion if it wasn't for this trailer. If anyone - ANYONE - knows how to get this on DVD (or download, man I'm trying anything) let me know.

A great movie like this should be made avaliable on DVD as fast as possible.

The amazing thing about posting this film is finding people like you, that loved "Bandwagon". So many! What baffles me is the fact that the DVD was never released! Why? Such a great flick... And the songs, as you said, are amazing. "Sngles", a Cameron Crowe film, is also good - but this one is easy to find.

It truly pisses me off that real, heartfelt, knowing art as this movie actually is seems to so often founder because the damn bean counters can't figure out how to market art. As obscure as this beautiful movie is the fact that this post has had 1125 views in 6 months combined with such high ratings might insure a minor cult hit if they'd just release it on DVD. Maybe it will come out, who knows. I think it's possible, such a great flick... Finding the trailer was a pain, trust me, but it paid off: discovering so many people that, like me, loved the movie is really something.

I gotta say,this was/is the best movie Ive ever seen about a band.Usually whether its fact or fiction,they'll focus on when a band gets famous or something but this one kept the focus on what they go through when their out there on their own.Other movies may have done the same thing(The Commitments come to mind)but this one said it better...plus the songs were awesome!

I stumbled across this movie by accident about 1999 in a video rental store...It quickly became one of my faves. Sadly underrated!

I taped this off a cable channel and found the soundtrack (used, probably a promo, at some indie record store, natch). Love love love this movie - so true to life. The soundtrack is a little dated as '90s alterna-rock, but Bandwagon is exactly what it sets out to be - a love letter to indie bands, especially those in and around Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill. See it!!

I watched this on the IFC channel I think , like a long time ago, loved it ever since. I even have the soundtrack but strangely not the movie. I wish it was out on DVD, I hate VHS lol. We need to form a petition for DVD release!

Google "bandwagon dvd pacific marketing & entertainment group" - it should give you the ebay auction of seller "maxrenn2" (I have one from him - everything is cool.)

If you're interested in the soundtrack CD too, just search "bandwagon soundtrack" in ebay - there are plenty, and really cheap.

its so funny to see how many people are trying to find this movie, i remember it was playing for like a week straight about 5 years ago, and i recorded it on vhs, and then the tape got ate from watching it so much, its a really great movie, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, PLEASE FIGURE A WAY AND POST THIS, YOU WOULD BE DOING A GREAT THING, THAT AND THE OLD SCIFI SERIES "MONSTERS" post that, that would be fuckin awesome, thank you and have a nice day, SPITTLE SUCKS CIRCUS MONKEY ROCKS!

This is in the top 5 of my all time favorites. I found a copy on e-bay but it had english sub-titles that could not be turned off and was in english to begin with.
