From the Central States Fair in Rapid City, SD. The old gentleman got it from an old gold mine in the Dakota hills. The small hit or miss engine on the front of the trailer was flywheel cranked to run the air compressor. When air was built up, the Diesel was barred over to just past top dead center, and air was fed into the cylinder, it rolled over, and then he played with the injector pump while it coasted on the flywheel. In a bit, he hit on it, and it started running. And of course, kept running. Well worth the trip to the fair. I googled for it, but did not get any hits on a Fairbanks Morse that big. That trailer he had mounted it on was extremely heavy duty. The outriggers on the trailer were to keep from initial starting torque from flipping the trailer.
