But if you want a pissing contest, WE invented the light bulb (research Joseph Swan), the World Wide Web, telephone, television (John Logie Baird was Scottish moron), passenger railways, Jet engine, seed drill, stainless steel, electric motor, photography, sewage systems, programmed computers. My entire point is based around the fact that every major country has had a massive impact on the world so there's no point in saying people should give back everything that has stemmed from them to that country. Also I took exception to the fact that almost everything he said was an American invention actually wasn't.

I only listed UK inventions to prove how silly his thinking was. I could have done it with any country I just know more about my own.

Throughout history some of the best inventions have come from war and weaponry. There's a delightful bit of German mechanical engineering that went into a timer (I forget the name atm) which ended up as the #1 choice for bombs.

Not sure why you call them immigrants by the way they didn't all go to America.

Where does that comment say England in it? I was referring to UK as WE but thanks for the geography lesson on my own country.

Also I didn't mean it was invented in the UK. The world wide web was invented in Switzerland, by a British person. CERN didn't only have Swiss employees. So uh yeah, point stands on both counts.
