I'm in 4h horse bowl, and we took a feild trip to rosecroft, to learn about harness racing! We drove with a professional driver, on a pacer, who won her last race... it was awsome! we only drove an the practice track.
we also went to the stables, on the track, and the holding area before and after the races, we also saw the pacer car.

On June 28th, 2010 every horse and horseman was evicted from Rosecroft. We have our horses far away from us now, it is a huge hardship--

@JR08620 The problem with it is no marketing in my humble opinion. No I had my own stable, 35 years.

@NLisi55 Nice...kinda jealous actually. I've lived in the DC area for about two years...I was just reading about how Rosecroft went to crap the last year or so. Very sad, I love the sport and wish I could be a part of it besides just a spectator.

I have been a trainer at Rosecroft for 35 years. loved the vid but the music didn't quite fit-- btw @thatpete Standardbreds get the best treatment you could possibly imagine. @JR08620 Johnny was and still is a great trainer and driver, but there were many great horses that came out of Rosecroft that were not trained by him. Two world record holders of recent years. One trained by Roger Hammer and one by Roger Hans.

Last time I looked Tassie was still part of Australia but the answer to your question is no. This is in USA.

I have a standardbred ex-racer, he is very sour, they don't have the best life.

Do you work for John Wagner? He is one guy with good stock but, still is a lousy driver.
Yes, he looks good at Rosecroft but, who would not?
The probably with this circuit is no slot money.
