Of course 5 cents isn't the end of the world - $5 a bag wouldn't be. I don't get to any of my points in the first 30 seconds. Seriously, if you're going to judge someone's argument/discussion based on a few opening statements, then you're the dumb one.

Glad I haven't seen any of these in my area. If I did, I'd likely find some company that sells the plastic bags, and just carry a case of them in my car, and grab some out every time I am going to need them.

Though I used paper bags most of the time when grocery shopping, and do recycle all my plastic bags anyways.

Right on all those points though. Less reason to buy more or go shopping when you forget your bag. And I wouldn't be happy having to wash that bag after a package leaked.

Don't forget that it takes energy to both construct and wash these reusable bags. It's not like these companies are running off with huge profits due to these little taxes but you do make a great point about the poor logic behind the push for reusable bags.

You should check out how much it costs to actually MAKE a plastic bag....it is not 5 cents, so who is making the money here???????

Yes, its bullshit and you should check out how much plastic the manufacturers use in their wrapping of goods, PRIOR to US buying off the shelf! Great vid!!!!!

This is just the governments way to suck more money out of you. I WONT be paying for plastics bags EVER. If I dont wish to pay then I ask staff to take my food to my car as I cannot carry it myself! Looks like the stores will have to employ xtra staff to cater for those who will NOT buy bags. Thats good for the economy as retailers will then have to employ more people to help carry our goods!

OK... so now I cant get plastic bags at my store.

Ineed plastic bags for garbage day, lunches, dog crap, wrapping shoes in winter, carrying items.

So are all bags banned? NO!!!!!

Your the one who takes the time to make a video whining about 5 cents a bag. And these apparently expensive re usable bags. If you want to complain about something at least make it something worth while. Also you can state I'm dumb all you want, I know my grade average and you don't so I know the truth on that comment.
