Opening credits to the Swinging Sixties caper film Duffy. Starring James Coburn, James Mason, James Fox, Susannah York and John Alderton. Directed by Robert Parrish, written by Donald Cammell, score by Ernie Freeman.
I agree soapbox: I like the music. The organ music sounds a lot like the Booker T and The MG's song "Booker-Loo" that they did two years earlier. Love how they have a person say out the title (a la "Casino Royale" the previous year) and boo to Columbia for not putting Susannah York's name next to James Coburn-she's the woman! (like 'he's the man!')
I can't believe I missed this movie on TCM. Even more to the point, how this movie isn't on DVD yet! The same goes with "Kaleidoscope"; which also features Susannah York.
Could be wrong, but I don't believe there was ever a soundtrack album released. The Lou Rawls' song from the film "I'm Satisfied - Duffy's Theme" was included on his 1968 album, "You're Good For Me," and also on the b-side of the 45 rpm single, "Down Here on the Ground." (Capital 2252)
