Also, I did some research on the hotel itself and I never found any evidence of murder that took place there. I was told by the owner and several people that a woman was murdered by her jealous husband because she was talking to a state patrolman in the bar in the 1930s or 40s. Perhaps records were destroyed because of some scandal. Who knows? Perhaps it could be the spirits of people who lived on the land before the inn was built. We'll probably never know.

@MunstersBabe It's Eddie from NC HAGS. Thanks for the comments on The Lake Lure Inn. I will say it is one of the most haunted places we have ever been. We hope to go back at some point. We loved staying there and enjoyed being visited in our room by a Ghost. I did not put some of the things that happened in our video, because we could not prove it. to: eddiereddie. firstly the part that is room 217 evp #2 sounds more like "give me your life" instead of give me your life secondly how do you discern they voices on the evp from your voices?

Great question. It may say that, hard to tell sometimes. We listen to the tapes over and over to figure out what some of them say. As for the difference in voices. We makes a note of everyone present. I can always pick out mine and my friends voices easily. There are also some understood rules when doing EVP's. We do not try to say ghostly type things and also identify ourselves when moving around or making noises...like camera flashes etc...You learn over time to pay close attention. Eddie

One of the other members thought it said something like "...it is" or something. After slowing it down it really sounds like "courage" to me. Either way it good to relisten to these things. Thanks Eddie

As a former employee of the 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa, I can assure you that this place is indeed, very haunted. The most frightened I have ever been was working down in the spa by myself. It would be interesting to know if anyone else was called by their name down there. The spa area scared the crap out of me.

What program are you using to listen and replay the evps. I work at a retirement center and the guys I work with would like to catch some evp ourselves. thanks
