Hello Everyone,
This is my Virtual reality setup :) the fourth and final version.
This was optimized for First Person Shooters and I made it because of the requests I received for a demo with a FPS.
I got a lot of questions on how it works, so I spent most of the time explaining the generalities. Hopefully I did well, I am good at making Virtual Reality systems, not as good explaining it or making videos :)
Let me know if you have any questions, and if you like it, build your vr system in your own way and have fun!

  • So why havent Sony or Microsoft and Nintendo put this into big production? Sure you wont really need the back pack and it will forsurely be wireless.

  • @xAgentVFX LOL because Sony and Microsoft aren't as awesome as me :P If I had the budget I would do it, make it sell it, then some 10 year old kid would be running around the house wearing it playing left 4 dead and get scared and run and fall down the stairs... On the point of wireless I was thinking about making a head-holster for like an Ipod touch, so you look at the ipod screen, and just do a remote session to a powerhouse gaming rig and use the accelerometers from the ipod to look around.

  • @petemayo you... are... FREAKING AWESOME!!!! me want to play x3

  • @extrememonaXXX lol thanks! build one up :) I bet you could come up with something cool new hardware has come out, and small screens are cheap nowadays, maybe a ipod touch / xbox kinect combo could be cool.

  • That is way cool. I want one!

  • This is by far the most compact vr-solution I've seen. Now that Vuzix has released it's Wrap 1200 with 1280x720 resolution this starts to make an awful lot of sense, especially when it's cheaper and more authentic than three monitors and the TrackIR. Would be too awesome. For FPS I would like to get an independent motion tracker for the gun also, but that's probably not possible, at least not with most of games. Does it strain eyes much or have you noticed any problems in your vision with it?

  • @xAgentVFX Sony already is putting it to big production, please research before useless comments buddy :/

  • hey man how much would it cost if i were 2 buy cause i may buy it

  • how can i do that i would like to have a tutorial XD ur awesome man

  • this is awesome! can you map the headset to the left thumbstick of a xbox controller?

  • @petemayo

And now Sony is releasing there own, BUT DOESNT HAVE MOTION SENSING!!! loooooooool. Yeah ur awesome, yeah, why not.
