On today's car commercials they dont get into detail about styling because a lot of the new styles suck, (if I can be so blut)

@TonyMaximMuscles i have a 1985 model i love it. you are suposed to take up 3 spaces

the 1974 cars had to have the same 5mph bumper protection that the front bumpers needed in 1973, per government regulation. The rear bumper of a '73 car had to withstand damage to lighting equipment up to 2.5mph, the front 5mph. In '74, both front and rear went to the same 5mph and thus, a lot of '74 cars got 'new rear end styling' usually including a ginormous rear bumper to now match the front.

I've seen this generation of the Riviera's and they are very hard to find, they were nice cars but I wish they came with more power

This and the '77-'78's will be the "forgotten Rivieras" I can't recall the last time I saw one of 'em. They were bookended by 2 classics, the Boat tail Riv and the gorgeous 79-85 Riviers.

Those 70's Rivieras were badass cars...my dad had a 1970 and a 1977. Smoothest ride ever, freezing AC, full power, ...just great cars.
