despite that your arent pulling anything heavy, probably shouldnt attach the hook back to the cable. It causes minor amounts of cable damage that could effect it when you put some heavier loads on it. My friend got snapped in the leg by the cable standing... right where you were and he couldnt walk for two weeks - imagine if it were his face.
