A great version of this song. The quality is fantastic. I cannot recognise the American vocalist. Anyone know?

Recorded on March 22, 1929, and originally issued on {American} Victor 21927; the vocalist is credited as "Erwin McGee", but in all probability is actually Irving Mills.

Great song! - It was written by the famous team DeSylva Brown & Henderson for an early talkie - Fox Movietone Follies ('29).
Olsen's version is hot. I first heard this tune on an Ampico reproducing piano roll.

This and "Out Where the Little Moonbeams Are Born," and "I'm Bringing a Red Red Rose," (by Olsen) are achingly beautiful.

Annette Hanshaw has a very nice version of this song on Columbia 78.

Love the melody on this one... sometimes Olsen has this "1960s" pop chords... probably the '60s borrowed from the '20s.
Nice tune :)
