  • George.....too much. McLaughlin rips in a similar way with Remember Shakti live. It's those long percussive lines, but George still keeps the blues in it.

  • Many fellow jazz guitarists consider Benson the greatest influence.

    He's a master. Bravissimo...

  • With all respect to G. Benson - a master - this is more scale shredding than playing. His guitar isn't singing, its babbling. About seven thousand of the notes he played in this solo need to go, and be replaced by some interesting melodic statements.

    Not his best.
