Lol. That's one long walk. Tell you what though, way back when I was at UCT I would happily do it as well :-)
@prepschoolkid - yes it is a relatively safe trip particularly during the course of the day - being able to stand every 50m to take all those shots manifests this. Its a student area so is also pretty busy at night.
Also note that the uploader could have alternatively taken a free shuttle bus (0:57).
@Raf2411 go experience UCT, its an outstanding institution in a brilliant city!
Oh yeah you can search for "Von Dü - 16 Hop (Roskilde Festival)" to see a nice recording from the concert :)

Continued from last comment ...
Besides all that I loved staying there, the studies was good, and I loved the rock climbing possibilities of South Africa! People were also very friendly.
Although in the end I was happy to go home, but this was mainly due to the fact that my band was to play at Roskilde Festival :)

@prepschoolkid In the beginning of my stay I did not feel really safe but this was also due to repeatedly being warned by friends and teaches from the university. But after some weeks I felt much more safe. But there is a high level of crime in Cape Town and a couple of my international student friends got robbed, but thankfully nothing serious happened. I got my watch stollen through my window a week where our garden gate was broken... amazing. Continued in next comment ...

@drepos99 I studied different subjects of engineering: Acoustics & Noise Control, Introduction to Medical Imaging, and some Statistics. I was on my first year of my 2-year master (In Denmark, where I'm from, we have 3-years Bachelor followed by 2 years of master studies), but most international students were doing their bachelor studies (undergraduate, I believe).
