well topeka changed their name to google for a short amount of time and they still didn't win, so jumping in some cold water sure as hell wouldn't make google bat an eyelash.

The Mayor is jumping to get Google Fiber in town. The organization that helps put on this event gets little support from the City of Duluth for this event. Simple fact is that he was trying to be a cool guy to get a big business into town and used Special Olympics. Not so cool.

The Plunge raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics Minnesota, not Google Fiber like redfishjackson pointed out. This seems like a commerical for a cereal. "I like Googe Fiber because it clears my head out of my ____. Why am I here again?"
Mr. Mayor you seriously missed the point.

Sounds like he was more excited about Google Fiber than the Special Olympics. He wont be re-elected! Plus it is obvious the google fiber was somethnig they just added on to something that was already planned for the Special Olympics......Weak!

@darkdrifter123 I wondered that myself. I was the guy who shot the video, and I didn't even recall the fish. I'm sure it was fake.
