@TheIRONMAN1408 Not really -anymore. Some states use the (older) MSF Alt-MOST, others use the (new) MSF Rider Skill Test (RST), while still others may use an on-street test, or a serpentine ride. These tests are typically offered outside of a rider safety course. Most states who offer training also offer (license or endorsement) testing as part of.
How do you know? Contact your local licensing office. They can tell you what type of test and what standards are being used.
GOOD LUCK!

is the test the same through out the U.S.?

@SIMPLEmeee -most find this (counterintuitive) technique a difficult concept to initially understand and apply. It is the quickest (and often safest) way to turn a cycle -at speeds.
It is the technique tested in run #4.
Sadly, most multi-vehicle MC deaths happen because a rider couldn’t or didn’t apply a countersteer technique. Most likely, you will need this on-street skill sometime.
I suggest ALL riders take a training class. We teach this as well as other safe(r) street strategies!

i dont quite understand what they mean by PRESS right to go right.
how is that countersteering >.<

@SIMPLEmeee WOOOOOHOOOOO! Congrats on the bike!
If I can offer a couple of practice tips:
(1) HEAD & EYES! (bigger head turns -looking where you want to go)
(2) FRICTION ZONE! (get used to slipping-the-clutch -it's an easy wqay to control speed/balance)
(3) COUNTERSTEER (practice the feel (at speeds of 10'ish and up) of 'press-left to go left' and 'press-right to go right')
(4) STOPPING (a progressive squeeeeeeeeeeeeze of front brake -can save your life!)
Good luck! -K

i just got my bike 2hours ago lol its 3am at the moment im gonna be practicing a lot with it before i go take my test =)
which is in two weeks >_>

@SIMPLEmeee -we often hear these concerns. Thus, DOL offers rider training classes throughout WA.
These classes use (smaller sized) training bikes and teach basic control skills and street strategies.
They are designed to teach skills/techniques so you can go home and practice and learn how to ride your bike! The course offers tests (knowledge an skills) needed to add an endorsement to your license!
For $125 it really is a great investment! Please consider a training class.
