Bertha Lewis is a lifelong community organizer best-known as the former CEO of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). She is now the president of the newly-formed Black Institute, which she calls an "action tank" for public policy research, academic partnerships education and organizing centered on issues pertaining to the "black perspective."

WNSR's Roy Paul sat down with Ms. Lewis to discuss her history and vision as a community activist, ACORN's battles with conservative organizations and media, and the work she feels needs to be done to advance causes for minorities and the poor.
