Com11-2011-Claude - 3-day Basic Jungle Survival Training Course - Peru

*EN: Claude of the Swiss Army, made the 3-day basic jungle survival training course (DEC 8-10, 2011). It has a theory phase (one day) and a practical phase (next two days). In the first phase a Peruvian military instructor specialized in jungle combat, provides theory on geography of the Amazon, navigation, useful and poisonous wildlife, water production, building a shelter, and so on. Also, a military physician trains the participant in first aid, splints, improvised stretchers, and so on. This phase uses multimedia and written material. During the second phase, the team moved to the area of operations, where Claude's task was to reach a distant point in the rugged jungle, armed only with a machete, a mosquito net, a personal knife and flashlight (not allowed to bring water, food and insect repellent). Claude led the team.

*ES: Claude del ejército suizo, realizó el curso básico de supervivencia en la selva de 3 días (8-10 dic, 2011). Cuenta con una fase teórica (un día) y una fase práctica (dos días). En la primera fase un militar peruano especializado en combate en selva imparte la base teórica sobre la geografía amazónica, navegación, flora y fauna útil y ponzoñosa, obtención de agua, armado de refugio, etc. Luego, un médico militar capacita al participante en primeros auxilios, entablillados y camillas improvisadas, etc. En esta fase se utiliza material multimedia y escrito. En la segunda fase, el equipo se traslada a la zona de operaciones, donde la tarea de Claude consistía en llegar a un punto lejano en la selva accidentada, provisto únicamente con machete, mosquitero, cuchillo personal y linterna (no se le permite llevar agua, alimentos ni repelente). Claude guiaba al equipo.
