This is a collaborative commission done for Neo-Pangea, a marketing media company in Reading, Pennsylvania. The mechanical design and production were done in my workshop, and the illustrations were provided by the wonderful artists at Neo-Pangea. The audio, "Did You Ever See A Dream Walking," is a 1930s era recording, emanating from an electronic sound module, inside the box; triggered when the lid opens.

  • looks great.. love it. are the insides a sercret? or are you addble to show the workings?

  • @terrainproject It's not a secret, particularly. But the photos I have aren't all that great, that you could really see what's going on. Basically, the film strip goes through a serpentine path, and is driven by sprocket pulleys, much like a film projector. The door latch is operated by a cam, on the end of the crank mechanism hub.
