Sound clip of the muffler delete exhaust on my 2009 Volkswagen GTI from 6 feet away

Left the stock resonator, and the rear "suitcase" muffler was deleted & replaced with a 3" stainless EuroJet rear section

Engine Mods: APR Stage 1, Neuspeed P-Flo w/AEM DryFlow Filter, & Tiguan Pipe

  • Eurojet rear section,? From there CBE system or is there actually a rear section you can buy? Thanks also sounds wicked good.

  • @Timbo424

Yeah it's the rear section part from their cat-back exhaust system. I bought it used from a guy on golfmkv that changed out his rear section to a R32 style.

I've had lots of people ask me about it & they've told me that you can buy that rear section of piping directly from EuroJet for ~$200.

    So try contacting them

  • i did just the opposite lol i deleted my resonator

  • @bobrec3GTI

The resonator is A LOT easier to delete than the muffler obviously (it's just a straight pipe)

But the problem with that though is that it "drones." Search on golfmkv, and that's the number one complaint about the resonator delete...the drone.

Muffler delete gives you a deeper tone, and NO drone.

  • @snobrdrdan i know what drone is and i have no drone ever. I think the resonator delete does just the opposite of what youre saying. (look at my video on my profile) its the cold start one. It is quiet as hell on the freeway. i never hear the drone

  • @bobrec3GTI

I, personally, have never done it or heard it. I'm just saying that the resonator delete is easier to do than the muffler delete. And the whole point of a resonator is to prevent the "drone." So by removing it....you'd probably have it. If you don't notice it....cool.

The guys that have done it on golfmkv, all report some sort of drone from it though was my point.

  • ha ha mine is a little loud some time CHECK MINE OUT!

  • woah im a member there too... i was thinkin suitcase delete tho... not sure

  • I bought it used from "BLKSUNSHINE" on the golfmkv forums. He converted his EuroJet GTI exhaust to the R32 exit style.

    It was $100 + shipping.

Another option is to delete the resonator. 42DD sells a pipe replacement section
