fail, he hit the top of the badge, not near the center, how can you make a conclusive statement with only one test. I would urge myth-busters to try hitting the badge in the center so the most energy can be absorbed.

it sure would help if they shot the other stars in the center :) and what would be interesting is to try it with different kinds of ammo (particulary hollow points as they dont penetrate that much)

@BigJT2010 wutever man point is, saying 40 cal means nothing. Even if we did assume it was 40smith in question, there are infinite combinations of loads that cartridge can be loaded with. This again renders their tests meaningless. At the end of the day, the myth is not busted, like almost all their 'experiments'.

@boombap420 Because the only round that is called a .40 when referring to handguns 99.9% of the time is the 40sw. I know a 40sw is a shortened 10mm but If it was a 10mm then the report would say 10mm not 40.

who said it was a 40 smith&wesson? they chose the weakest 40 cal known to man for this test, instant failure once again. That badge wouldnt have stopped 10mm auto.
