sprinter223 did you brakes when you bought them come with a red spacer in the pads that is what you need is that red spacer it will space them out so that then you may place your tire back on.

easy treat them like calipers of a car one u use the bleed valve on the side of the caliper or 2 u open the reservoir on the lever so u take the pressure off and open the piston on the caliper u do this to adjust them as well ... never put a screw driver in between the pads!!! next time put a 2p between them... lol... i got stuck the same way!!!

@chainheart3 i was about to get the juicy 5's, but decided to spend a bit more to get that red knob =P
the elixir's came out a few months after i got the 7's, though i'm still impressed with the 7's and find no need to replace them just yet.

is the rotor 185mm or 203mm ?

@russboy920
185mm
i don't think the fork's brake tabs can handle the strain from a 203mm very long.

i have juicy 7's. i had my bike in my car with the front wheel off. when i got back home then pads had jammed tightly together and i can't fit the disc inbetween anymore. The lever must of depressed while i was driving home. Does anyone know how i can release the pads again. Any help would be massivly appreciated. This is a really helpful video aswell. Wish i looked it up when i was installing mine. Cheers

thanks!
as far as your brake go...if it were me, i'd sacrifice the pads by slipping a screwdriver between them and prying them apart. then i'd replace the pads after.
there may be other ways to seperate them without scratchign the pads, but i can't think of any. i take great care not to touch any of the braking surfaces or get any fluids on them.
also, i always have a CLEAN pad spacer handy when transporting or working with the wheels off.
hope this helps.
