Bunny's Play Dead Trick - Dog Clicker Training in 30 minutes

This is us last night, teaching our dog Bunny the classic "Bang" trick, where the owner says BANG! and the dog rolls over and plays dead as if shot. LOL. It literally took her about 30 minutes to learn it with the clicker training method.

The way we taught her was to first teach her "Down". Once she was in the down position, I would move my hand as if to scratch her belly, she would roll over on to her back, and I would "Click" and give her a treat (and scratch her belly of course!).

After 5 or so tries of moving my hand towards her belly, she got the point, once she would go into down, she'd roll right over. Once she started rolling over, I'd say Bang, click, and treat.

After that, I'd say Down, Bang, and click & treat. She quickly got the point that when I'd say Bang, if she rolled over, she'd get her click (confirming she did the right action) a treat, and a belly rub.
