This was animated in Canada and originally recorded in French, for Canadian "Sesame Street". Many segments were done this way, because the French-Canadian studios deliberately chose words that were pronounced and/or spelled the same in both French and English.

Huh! That does sound like Richard Hunt, though I'm surprised. I didn't think the puppeteers did voices for the cartoons. ::shrugs::
