CNN Karabakh Discovery

CNN television broadcasted a video about excavations of an ancient Armenian city of Tigranakert shot by Armenian Yerkir Media TV.

Video about Tigranakert excavations held in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh was aired for three days on the American television.

Seven years ago no one even thought that a triangle shape of these stones in Nagorno-Karabakh could be a gate of the ancient city of Tigranakert, the video says.

The archeologists assume they found the remains of a city built in the 1st century B.C. built by Tigran the Great, the king of the Armenian Empire.

According to archeologists, they opened the gates of the city up to 4-5 meters. It was a huge city of about 60 hectares.
