I put this issue to the test myself back in october 2011. one coney at american and one at laffayette. hands down laffayette had the best chili.but I have to say american had a more flavorable hot dog. put laffayette chili on an american hot dog you'll have the best of both worlds. but what would a coney be without chili? just a hot dog right?. lafayette is the best at chili no question......our at least it was that day. next time I'm in detroit I'll try agian to see if anything has changed.
