Funny thing is when he would change up styles in concert LOL! I was at one Kenny did with M. Bolten (my mom loved him and dragged me), he switched up to a kinda western sounding riff on I think Tribeca and Kenny turned around and kinda gave him a funny look. Was over a decade ago so kinda hard to remember, but the solo on Midnight Motion made me understand that there was more to bass then just "filler".

He is amazing at bass, one of my heros. I wonder how many Kubickis he has, because in the other vid of him at Arsenio Hall Show he's playin on a red burst one and he's got a yellow here. Either way, great player, total bad ass, great vid

He is a great bassist, but you can't say who is the best, especially since he plays n no way like John Paul Jones. Both are great musicians, but have completely different styles.

Saw him on TV bout 96, Live at Montreux Jazz festival, slapping the shit outta that bass. Lost the vid, and now found this. I am a happy guy. Best bassist since Chris Squire and John Paul Jones.

Contrary to common knowledge, Vail is touring with Kenny G presently. In Japan and now in the states. Vail is the funkest white boy I know....
