And what is the big difference between homosexual relationships and the rest of those? Oh, that's right...the rest of those people tend to keep private or quiet. They don't call everyone they know to announce their sexual arrangement. Homosexuals, however, have this unique "responsibility" to let the world know what they do in bed. Why are they unique that way? Is it because if straight people did the same, it'd be considered "TMI"? But if you say "TMI" to a gay person, you're a homophobe. WTF?

The things you described basically only happen in religious communities. Even in secular nations, same sex marriages are banned and while open marriages are looked down upon, same sex marriages lead to violence, destruction of property and endured discrimination.
If you truly think people care as much about unusual heterosexual marriage as for same sex marriage, walk into your local church. Say you're in an open relationship one week, the other you're gay. Spot the differences, master of nuance

If a heterosexual ever faces bigotry and demeaning that leads them to the brink of suicide, yet they are able to recover like David Yost has, then they also have my admiration.

Heterosexuals face all kinds of demeaning and bigotry when they enter into interracial marriage, open marriages, or even just sometimes marry into a differing class. They do not receive the kind of attention that homosexuals do because they don't make it the focus of their lives.

Nice. I'm being called a Nazi for saying Yost isn't the most courageous person in the world.

Again, you're not reading the comment. I said that him "overcoming the bigotry and subsequent self-hate he faced as a homosexual" was admirable. Let me make this perfectly clear: *the simple fact that he was homosexual is not why I admire him*, which is what you keep saying for some reason. If a heterosexual faced such bigotry and demeaning for his sexual preference and overcame it, then I would equally admire him or her. It isn't a double standard, and you're bitching for absolutely no reason.

By asking about homophobia when I've said nothing negative whatsoever about homosexuality, you're smearing me with a label simply to satisfy your inability to abide the opinions of others. You think coming to grips with a sexual preference is something triumphant and laudatory. I think it isn't, because people do it all the time, and nobody cares unless you happen to belong to a group considered "victims". I despise double standards and bigotry.
