J.S. Bach "Gott der Herr ist Sonn und Schild", BWV 79, Thomanerchor

Bach schrieb diese Kantate anlässlich des Reformationsfestes 1725. Es spielt das Neue Bachische Collegium Musicum und der Thomanerchor Leipzig unter der Leitung von Hans-Joachim Rotzsch.

I believe this is the recording made by the Thomanerchor and the Gewandhaus orchestra under Hans Joachim Rotzsch in the early 1990s. This wonderful cantor of the choir was removed over the objections of the Thomaner themselves because he happened to have been put in place during the last communist regime in East Germany.

@frereM Ant it demonstrates the hippocresy of german and others searching for a "Sündenbock". Mr. Rotzsch did not do any harm to anyone. But people are so selfrigtheous (and stupid) it is unbelievable
