@hasegawamiki, only a n00b would say that - if you do sampling, RSE is really useful, especially if you can't afford some expensive guitar samples. Is useful for pro movie composers. Since for most movies ppl don't use live recorded music - they use sampled one. And remember - musician doesn't mean guitarist...
hmm maybe your clicking the script to run it and it hasn't been set to executable. Right click it, go to properties, then in the window go to permissions and tick the little box which says "Is Executable" then try to run the file after applying changes.
If that doesnt work, try running the file from in a shell(i use konsole)
cd /path/to/file/
then try either
./applicationname
or
sh /applicationname
Just remember to change the paths and app name to wherever you installed it to =]
linux has always got the shaft when it comes to media related things. the most media-format friendly program i've encountered on linux was vlc. it just isn't meant for production and until a company releases something like photoshop or premeir for it, it will never get production programs

@knumorvid you need to run a package manager that can handle debian packages.

Pshh, so? RSE is useless unless you're using Guitar Pro to write a song.
