1969 Japanese Grand Prix at the ultra-fast original Fuji Speedway, with a German introduction and English commentary. This is certainly one of the craziest and most dangerous races I've ever seen.

  • Fuji Speedway was originally supposed to be a Daytona-type track, but they ran out of money halfway through and realized it would be much cheaper to finish off with a standard road course.

  • This is a GEM!! Look at the FOUR WIDE starting grid and the Chaparral Can-Am- looking wings on the yellow and red car in the front row. AWESOME!!!!!

  • H-O-L-Y S-H-I-T, this is INSANE!!!! They have to be doing AT LEAST 190 MPH on those high banks, if not 200+!!!!

  • This if the Formula 2 Japanese Grand Prix I believe, but I could be wrong.

  • Thank you very much! I 'have never seen this film before. This is the 1 st JAF GP. Exactly, Japanses GP was the race for group 6 and 7 cars. TV broadcast is black and white at that time. What is this film ? Jackie Stewart was the winner of the next year.
