"The Party" St. Vincent

St. Vincent performing at the Casbash on 5-30-2009. Annie was having some technical difficulties during the latter part of the show that evening. Notice at at 0:06 she approaches the mic very very carefully, touching it to her guitar and then testing it with her fingers and lips. The reason is that in a previous song the mic gave her a little shock. Poor thing. She gets another little shock at 0:40.
The mic problem was probably related to some problems she was having with her pedal board even earlier. I think one or more of her pedals went out . She had to spend a few minutes between songs to try fix the problem. There must have been a short or bad ground someplace.

Despite it all, she put on a terrific show. What a trooper.
