Performance of Skylar Grey's new track 'Coming Home Pt. 2' from her new album Invinsible out this fall.

All material belongs to Wonderland, Interscope Records. No copyright infringement intended, for entertainment purposes only.

This is a live performance, i had to edit the track to remove people talking.

  • Amazing quality, thank you!!!

  • @CrossBonezolo you're welcome, i had to filter out a lot of talking etc and amplify the sound to make it more audible :) Was worth it in the end.

  • YES, now I no longer have to listen to the version with P. Diddy in it. He totally kills the emotion Skylar Grey sings out

  • if music is the heartbeat of the american soul, then hope is alive

  • @lusiya96 But really, this is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it, and I don't expect you to. And I certainly won't tell you to shut up like you've told me too, because I don't believe in imposing my opinions on people who don't have the same mindset as me. Good day, sir.

  • @lusiya96 Rap songs that try to be deep are always about a tormented childhood and poor decisions the rapper isn't actually sorry about because they still make those decisions. Really, the peak of rap can be summarized by Elvis Presley's “In the Ghetto”, and I've never heard a rap song that tops that!

  • @lusiya96 That's one of the reasons I don't like rap; it's main subjects are sex, clubbing, violence, drugs, gangs, and other dark aspects of ghetto life. Sure, you can write some pretty emotional stuff coming from that sort of background, but most rap songs are incredibly shallow and materialistic. Even when you do actually get something that's deeper and more profound in rap, it's always about the same thing!

  • @lusiya96 Whatever hardships he's been through doesn't make me like his music any more than I already do, which goes for any rapper or singer. And I stand on my opinion that you don't need vocal talent to rap – there are no changes in key or pitch, there is no harmonizing, all it is is saying a series of rhymes. Rap is poetry, and when you compare it to the rest of the literary world, it's a pretty poor excuse for poetry.

  • @lusiya96 “Ass on the Floor” shows his complete disrespect for someone he supposedly loves by calling them a motherfucka and viewing them as little more than an attractive object, and I use the term “love” loosely because all that really means in most pop music today is sex or the desire to have sex. And being drunk doesn't excuse that kind of thinking. “Angels With Dirty Faces” is about his illegal gang activity and pumping himself up. “Hello Good Morning” is again pumping himself up.

  • @lusiya96 So let's examine P. Diddy's lyrics with the information you've provided me. “Another Keisha, nice to meet ya, get the math I’m gone”. So he's writing off his own family member? That's heartless, why should I respect him again? Especially after looking at some of his other songs, I don't entirely believe he's really sorry in “Coming Home”.
