  • guys the your experinment is all wrong the plane must be propelled forward by an engine, and not a motor on the wheels

  • The plane used in the video was an Air Hog Room Raider. It has a propeller. I attached the wheels for the experiment.

  • That is one slow conveyor.

  • @innersilencedotcom You fool, the plane WILL take off if he goes fast enough. The plane is moved by its propellor, NOT THE WHEELS. Think about it!

  • I can pin point your problem right here the Conveyor Belt isn't going Faster or as fast as the plane itself as you can see that conveyor belt your using is going extremely slow

  • 010

  • besides that, even when (hypothetically) you'll get it right, don't expect the plane to take off because two equal forces cancel each other and therefore, there will be no airspeed on the fuselage, therefore no lift. like hyrrokinfamily said. do you expect your plane to take off with 1 kt airspeed? think about it. if that conveyor shit was working airports would use 100 m long conveyor belts instead of runways. DOH.

  • idiot. you must calculate the exponential acceleration on both plane and belt. the belt needs to accelerate gradually with the plane. that means math. that is why this myth is so hard to reproduce. that's the result of the battle between scientists striving to create better idiot-proof solutions, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. and here's a proof why so far, the universe is winning.

  • LOL do you think you're plane will take with a 1knt speed ? Bad conveyor

  • @btankful How can a conveyor belt negate the forward movement of a plane?

  • the thing is that the speed has to be constant

  • @btankful But the conveyor just makes the wheels turn, it doesn't pull on the plane itself. The propellor moves the plane forward, not the wheels. The wheels and the conveyor are irrelevant.
