Phantasm Motorsports in raleigh,NC had a AWD dyno day. Modified s2000 was on the dyno. Never seen this supercharger kit before but it put down some respectable power. I think it was around 350whp. Supercharger kit was a Kraft Works with the basic boltons....Dont know much else...clean car

  • In what amount of time do you believe this can run in a 1/4 mile with street tires?

  • If he is making about 350 that should put him into the low-mid 12's with slicks.

  • Cool thx. Seems you lose a lot of low-end, though. Power given to spooling up that charger.

  • no you gain low end. Superchargers are kinda like nitrous...your getting instant boost compared to a turbo..someone correct me if im wrong....

  • @meet07: That's a bit of an oversimplification. The performance profile for a supercharger is predicated on the type of supercharger. To generalize:

Roots supercharger: instant full boost, great lowend, moderate midrange and small topend gains due to low adiabatic efficiency.

Twin screw: instant full boost, great lowend, great midrange and solid topend (higher adiabatic efficiency)

Centrifugal: full boost only at redline. small lowend gains, moderate midrange, good topend gains.

  • good s2k +6

    music -10

  • nice s2k! Song?

  • Damn thanks for the info. I never did a dyno so I didn't know.

Makes me really want a S2K Kraftwerks even more, now. MMMMMM.

  • car put down 355whp @ 10psi. Stock header, Berk High flow cat, Stock exhaust, 650cc RC injectors, Hondata reflash, AP1 flywheel, ACT clutch.

  • actually that is completely incorrect.

A dyno operator isnt going to go WOT until at least 2400 rpms. My car makes more power everywhere in the powerband. At 3000rpms i am still making 25whp more and by 5000rpms I am making more than 75whp more than stock. There is no sudden surge of power with the Kraftwerks supercharger, its a steady gain of power from 2500rpms to redline. Vtec has even been lowered to 4200 rpm to take advantage of the improved flow provided by the Rotrex Supercharger

  • Oh okay, because when I looked at all the dynos for Kraftwerks, there was a huge sacrifice on the low-end compared to stock dyno.

    Stock had lets say 100whp @ 1000rpm.

    Kraftwerks had lets say 50whp @ 1000rpm.

Similar lost until 5000rpm. Then it gains massively.
