Then it occurred to me that arete and doubt are different thoughts on either side of the atlantic, and clearly I've been listening to a lot more French acts in the last few years, so perhaps those strains of culture have reemerged in a generation of europeans that are more aware of american culture than their atavistic elders, maybe I'm in love with the european youth.

I kept hearing the germanic phonemes which are usually not as apparent as the latinate in French, and it occurred to me that european haute axia are not remotely rock and roll.
