All I have right now here in Japan is a Yamaha Keyboard with some nice sounds and my computer with Sony ACID on it. I just record myself playing things on the keyboard into the computer and use ACID to arrange the sounds and add effects. I also add random sound effects and drums hits that I find on the internet.
Having good equipment helps a lot, but having some good ideas is what matters most.
