I know the economy statstics and they show that money is distributed unfair, so poor people get poorer while rich people get richer. because of that, a lot of neighbourhoods like williamsburg, brooklyn get gentrified due higher rents and the families and artists that cant afford these have to move away, probably somewhere outlying where crimes and poverty start growing. ANTI GENTRIFICATION YES

i am someone who grw up in Bushwick and am white. I lived there before it was Latino and Black. It was once mostly Italian-American with German-Americans up by Ridgewood. The issue of gentrification is an economic one. I am disgusted at rents that are sky high and the fake hipsters who are totally conformist thinking they are so cool. No group "owns" Bushwick but it could at least be a place people aren't forced out of by high prices. Please, hipsters, stay in Omaha with your parents!

i was watching a video and this guy in harlem described gentrification of manhattan especially as this: "It's feudalism, the king and the rich class live inside the city walls while the poor live outside and come to serve and work inside the city walls." They are using our own tax dollars to kick us out. We are getting double fucked. The only thing that can stop it, is a revolution. A few months of rioting maybe. I don't know but the poor to lower middle class people need to join up.

i'M puerto rican and from bushwick and i'm pretty happy gentrification is happening i'm sick of some of my peoples destroying the neighborhood being ghetto selling crack and stealing from others i'm one of the lucky ones that rather work and go to college and have nice things . i'm all for getting rid of all the scum in my neighborhood beside my taxes pay for their section 8 anyway ! if i sound like a traitor to my people I DON'T CARE YOU BUMS FUCK UP THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND I'M SICK OF IT !
