Thank you for this video! Quick question, do you think it's better to join squares 4 at a time, or wait until all the squares are done and then join?

@Reneindc2 It depends on the pattern. I like to do as long of sections as possible so I have less tails to hide later.

I just want to say thank you for taking the time to make your crochet videos. I am working through your granny squares video. It is the first time I have tried crochet. The Double crochet stitch is the first stitch I learned. Which one of your videos would you recommend for joining the squares? Note I am an absolute beginner. Also how can you tell which side, is the wrong side of a granny square? Thanks Samantha

@swal593868 On the squares I teach, since you turn every row, they are reversible. I generally have the first round facing (as you made it) as the right side. You can tell because the tail will hang out the back. The front of the stitches generally are more textured than the back. However, if you change colors every row, you can make all of the rounds facing the same way and make a distinctive right & wrong side. You can mark the first row as the right side until you learn to tell by sight.
