Well, I dunno about that but the only time the fuel guage in ANY car goes up is when you FILL FILL FILL the tank...lol. Listen man, many folks in Europe and in asia bitch and say "ohh you silly Americans should switch to diesel" But little do those critics know is that its basically out of our hands. Sure, we get fuel efficient cars when we ask but now with skyrocketing diesel prices, the companies in US are refusing to turn to diesel...But Biodiesel can help. But no one wants to build diesels.
Well you could always trade your American car in for a French make, as remember the French have been building diesels since the early 1950's and now have some of the best diesel cars on the market. I hired a Peugeot 308 diesel a few weeks ao, and it was great, and did around 40 mpg. Speaking of fuel guages, filled the tank up this morning from a little over the half tank mark, £16.38 for 5 gallon. A guy in a Volvo S60 next to me put £65 in his tank.
Ehh, same non-sense. Parts from Japan, built in the U.S. But they don't sell small french diesels in the U.S. If they did, and they were readily available, I couldn't do anything. The truck is not mines, it belongs to my father. I'm still 17---can't legally own anything.
Bummer. BTW you can't get French cars at all in America as I've just found out on google.
As for yhr Nissan, your dad would be wise to trade it in for a Yaris, given that an economic tsunami is heasding stright for America, and it'll hit this fall and winter.
Thats the bummer: he needs it for work. Theres no way around it. Theres no point in a getting a new car because this one is almost paid off. Trade the truck in and still have a payment to take over, and not to mention that the Yaris still needs gas too...There is no way around it.
The top selling pickup in America has a v8 and does 16 mpg, and the others don't do much better. seems your dad is stuck with a thirsty pickup for his job. There are smaller pickups with 4 cylinder engines on the market in America according to goggle, but it depends on which part of America you are in, and of course if any are available in your area. Double bummer. :-(
Yeah you could do that, or if you really need mechanical transportation, you could always buy yourself a scooter or small motor bike. At 17 you probably are allowed to apply for the American road test.
