ronnie, nedra, and estelle we're the queen's!!! their sound is unmatched. as far as amy goes...i did'nt know her personally but her beehive and a interview she did saying the ronettes we're her inspiration are the reason i listen to her now. don't care about her alchol and drug problem's. that's respect for the ronettes as far as i'm concerned. and for that i respected her. truly sad amy passed...

The thing I always loved abt the Ronettes is that these giels always struck me as "bad girls" - the hair, the lyrics to the songs, the outfits - they were not squeaky clean girls of Motown or the other labels. Then on top of all that you had Ronnie's INCREDIBLE voice & mad Phil's INCREDIBLE WALL OF SOUND - WHAT MUSIC!!!

This video explains a lot of things. First: the beehive. The do looks good on hispanic chicks with strong features and a fondness for mascara. In fact all big hair looks good on the Ronettes. Finally, her voice. Her voice is .... unbelievable. This isn't really that good of a song, but Roni's voice sells it.
