  • Its a shame that Porsche doesn't make this car anymore. It was so much cooler than a 911 to my mind.

  • Fantastic engine sound!

  • Greatest daily driver I ever had. Owned 1986 from '95 to '01. Expensive to fix (parts and labor) but in hendsight, worth it. Would love '95 GTS under 50K miles even today, maybe best car ever.

  • It was the first "clean slate" car for Porsche (one that was produced from scratch -- the 911 was based on the VW beetle). True Porsche style and engineering through and through. And what a gem to drive!

  • @193322009 I'm looking at a 1988 s4, can you give me some advice on what to look out for?

  • @dennieb1

Absolutely, a hell of a lot better looking too, as was the 944.

  • I love the 928...a timeless piece of automotive design. But surely they could have re-shot the key-insert at 0.20 - he misses the bloody thing! LoL. So much for purity of purpose...

  • I've owned two of these cars and I must admit

they are one of the sweetest cars to drive.

Both of mine had the automatic and I think that's

the best way to go on the street.

On the track, manual shift was best. I drove various race cars

for ten years and many times in Porsches.

I drive a V12 Mercedes now, but sometimes

    I really miss the 928s4.

Porsche screwed up when they stopped making them.

  • automatic?? WTF

  • Love this car. I am on the search for this year and model. I wish there was more winding road in the video. This car excels on twisty roads and still performs like a god on the wide open straights. This in my opinion is a true complete road car.

  • excellent I love the music and sound of the car.
