The MLB Bat 3 is now available with Cloud Cap electronics. The aircraft can carry the TASE or TASE duo gimbal and retraction mechanism mounted in the nose section. This video shows autonomous launch and landing of the Bat 3.
The Bat 3 has a 6.5 ft wingspan, weighs 23 lbs, and can fly for 6 hours. Speed range is 35-65 kts and the maximum range is 200 miles. Standard payload is a stabilized gimbal live video system and a digital camera for mapping.
The complete system (aircraft, catapult, gimbal, ground station, tracking antenna, support equipment, etc.) costs less than $100K ready to fly. Contact Steve Morris (650)966-1022 for more information. MLB also offers flight training and UAV flight services.
you should be amazed that it landed autonomously in such a rough field :)
