This is a talk (ok, a long talk, ~30 minutes) about whether Google's Book Search project -- called "massive copyright infringement" by the American Association of Publishers, is "fair use"? It is.

The issue is of individual access to and use of the service as arbitrated by discretion of the corporate entity -there's no due process in monopoly discretion
When behemoths are able to circumvent those restrictions imposed on courts, protecting individual freedom of expression & access to services or goods, simply by being the sole gateway of access to the product, we are at risk of authorizing monopolies to hold greater authority than the actual courts of law defining the actionable offense.

One reason why this is so pertinent is a point made near the beginning of the video. You may need to pay to use quotes form another book in your own published work if you wish to profit from it, which is ridiculous.
Additionally, there is also a nice conclusion at the end of the video around 27 minute in that literally says "Why should we care?"
Maybe you will watch the video next time?

As much as the world already is an ADD nation you now want to give people the ability to search specific quotes? Why not give them then the chance to learn something on their own.
